Mythic Saga is a fun browser game based on the story of Chinese Apotheosis of Heroes, a TV series popular in the 1980s. All of characters designed in the game can be traced back from the TV series. Some typical Chinese elements such as Eight diagrams, army flags, and Chinese unique pavilions constitute a beautiful landscape of what a browser game was short of in my memory.

There are four classes: Warrior, Priest, Mage, and Assassin. You can choose to whatever they like. At the beginning of the game, you need to get a weapon from NPC, and kill the monsters. During this course, you will experience all kinds of weathers, just like in a real world. It is well done on the dynamic effects like the flowing water with blossomy lotus and flying birds, which make you feel a little bit agreeable compared to those serious strategy games.

Layout of the game as a whole is quite well. Many functional area pictures are nicely arranged with small map. And there are four maps for quest tracking. When you do tasks, and you want to change to do other tasks, simply click the quest tracking system, and then you can switch to where you want to go, which will save you plenty of time. And you would never get lost in the game.

When you are still in a low level, your main quests are to kill monsters, learn skills and train skills and collect rewards. They are almost the same way. Click on the target to perform default attack and then get the experience point. But I was upset that many main quests are required to kill tens to hundreds of monsters. And the trouble is that the monsters can be killed automatically, but not continuously. The player needs to click the monsters one by one. It is a waste of time and it is quite boring.

When you finished all these quests, you will get a higher level. But it is still the same of skill level which increases every two level-ups. And through these courses, you can improve your skills for upgrading old ones or exploring new ones. During the time of doing hard missions, you can resurrect in 120 seconds.

As in most other browser RPG games, it is hard to get the higher levels in Mythic Saga and it is much harder to complete jobs of higher levels. Another unpleasant experience I had is for example, you must buy advanced items or mounts in order to be attractive or powerful. That is all determined by the money not the real trick. But generally speaking, it is an interesting browser game.
